The CS5 Ultra Touring uses a silica-rich tread formulation with a high-turnup single polyester ply casing . two steel belts . and a spiral-wound jointless nylon cap ply for a cushiony ride. Where the rubber meets the road . there’s an asymmetric all-season tread pattern with an outboard shoulder that features larger tread blocks . and an inboard section with higher sipe density . and circumferential grooves to resist hydroplaning. Additionally . the CS5 Ultra Touring is protected by an up to a 70 .000 mile limited manufacturer tread life depending on the tire’s speed rating.
